The UK Centre for Legal Education (UKCLE) is an organisation in the United Kingdom which aims to promote the development of learning and teaching in legal education in both academic and vocational settings. It was established in 1996 as the National Centre for Legal Education (NCLE) as a project funded through the Fund for the Development of Teaching and Learning (FDTL). It became part the national Learning and Teaching Subject Network and was renamed the UKCLE in January 2000. It became part of the Higher Education Academy in 2004. It is based at the University of Warwick and has been led by two Warwick academics: Professor Roger Burridge (Director 2000-06) and Professor Julian Webb (Director 2006-).
